Women Entrepreneurs: Beth Mazza on Building a 7-Figure Business

On International Women’s Day, Beth tells the story of lining up behind the same woman in the pickup line for years before they finally talked and she found out the woman was scaling a services business of her own. They ended up trading lessons and contacts for years after that. Victoria found hers on the sideline of a volleyball game.

Neither of these is a smart networking story. Both are about finding people who are going through what you are going through, or have already been through it and are willing to say what they learned. Beth and Victoria’s early Kitchen Cabinet was all Champions. Best friends, brothers, and sorority sisters. Supportive, but a complete echo chamber.

That is what Power Move #2, Build Yourself a Kitchen Cabinet, is about. Filling the other two seats on purpose. Compensators know the thing you do not and have already made the mistake you are about to make. Connectors open doors you cannot see from where you are standing. They turn up in professional organizations, on community committees, and in school parking lots.

  • This interview is part of the International Women’s Day 2026: Give To Gain Campaign, which highlights the power of generosity, collaboration, and community in advancing gender equality. Give To Gain emphasises the power of reciprocity and support. When we give knowledge, mentorship, resources, and visibility, we create opportunities for women everywhere. Giving is not a subtraction; it’s intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise.
